Lake Legal Limited Park House Park Square West Leeds LS1 2PW

I am the founder and Managing Partner of Lake Legal Limited, a specialist family law team based in Leeds.  Although I am based in the North of England, I represent clients from across the country.

I have practiced exclusively in family law for over 25 years. I consequently have a vast amount of experience in dealing with financial settlements arising from divorce and separation. I am passionate about finding alternatives for clients to the court driven process. I believe that my no nonsense approach combined with my sound advice and judgement strikes just the right balance to make arbitration work.

I was the first family lawyer in Leeds to be ranked as a Star Individual by Chambers & Partners and I maintain that recognition to date. I am one of just five lawyers identified as Leading Individuals in Yorkshire by Legal 500.

Legal 500 describes me as someone who has “a wealth of practical knowledge and expertise that is second to none; her direct and sensible way of communicating is a breath of fresh air” whilst Chambers UK says that I have “immediate warmth and empathy. Her calmness and strength leave you with no illusion you are dealing with a very accomplished and strong individual. She is in total control”.

I am a member of Resolution, the former Chair of the Precedents Committee for Resolution and a member of the Law Society Family Law Accreditation Scheme. I am a qualified collaborative lawyer.

I  qualified as a Family Law Arbitrator in 2012.
