Called to the Bar in 2004, Alison has since practised exclusively in family law, latterly specialising in children law. In the private law children sphere, she has extensive experience of cases that cover the spectrum of issues arising in relationship breakdowns. These include applications for child arrangements orders, specific issue orders, prohibited steps orders, disputes over schooling and holidays, special guardianship cases and both internal and international relocation. She has particular experience in cases where the dispute has become intractable and where complex expert evidence is involved. She is known for her pragmatic and empathetic approach and aims to find sensible and practical solutions for her clients.

As a member of Harcourt Chambers’ team of specialist arbitrators, Alison can conduct arbitrations from Harcourt’s premises in London or Oxford. Alison can also undertake arbitrations nationwide and on remote platforms, depending on the whereabouts and needs of the parties.

Alison is a trained mediator, having undertaken the Resolution foundation training in family mediation, and is working towards accreditation.

Alison is recognised as a leading junior in the Legal 500.
