The law is my second career.  I was called to the Bar in 1983 and since the early 1990s my major area of practice has been in the field of Inheritance Act claims.

I am the author of Inheritance Act Claims (Sweet & Maxwell, 3rd edition, 2011; first published, 1993).  I also have extensive experience of all other types of claim involving the estates of deceased persons and of claims to beneficial interests in property (ie, TOLATA claims).  Typically, the estates have values in the range £250,000 to £1.5M, and quite often, the positions of the parties are such that benefits issues arise.
