Alexander Chandler KC FCIArb has heard a dozen financial remedy claims as an arbitrator. In practice, he is a specialist in high-value matrimonial finance and claims for financial provision under Schedule 1 to the Children Act. Maintains a broad practice including Trusts of Land claims. Regularly instructed in intervener claims and cases that involve an overlap between family and civil law and procedure. Represents individuals, trustees and companies, has advised in international cases before the courts in Jersey, Gibraltar and Bermuda. Accepts instructions on a direct access basis.

In September 2023, Alex became the first family specialist and member of IFLA to qualify for the grade of Fellowship of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, which is the highest grade of CIArb membership.

Alex sits as a family Recorder in the Central Family Court and the Financial Remedies Court, and in the Crown Court. He is an experienced private FDR judge and arbitrator. King’s Counsel, Fellow of the International Academy of Family Lawyers. Member of the FLBA, Chancery Bar Association and Resolution. Formerly panel member of Bar Tribunals and Adjudication Service
