John has 25 years of experience in all forms of private law children litigation, both domestic and international, at all levels and is regarded as one of the leading children law Silks in the country.

John was one of the first barristers to qualify as a children law arbitrator and has conducted arbitrations involving the broad range of child arrangements, including with whom children should live and spend time, issues regarding schools and education, and name changes. John’s arbitration experience enables him to be very clear about the value of arbitration, and its speed, privacy and cost effectiveness in helping families resolve disputes over their children.  He welcomes the expansion of the scope of arbitration work to include relocation cases.  John is a member of Harcourt Chambers’ team of specialist arbitrators.

Based in London and Oxfordshire, John will undertake arbitrations nationwide, and on remote platforms.
