I practised at 1 Hare Court (formerly 1 Mitre Court) as Junioir and Queen’s Counsel in both financial and children cases. I wrote the chapters on jointly owned property for the 17th & 18th Editions of Rayden and Jackson. I am a former committee member of the FLBA and the FLBA representative on the Bar Mutual Indemnity Fund Board.

I was appointed a Circuit Judge in 2004. I sat exclusively in family law including as a Deputy in the Family Division and as a nominated Judge of the Court of of Protection.

Since retirement in 2013, I have qualified as an arbitrator and mediator. I was the Chair of the IFLA sub-committee that advised in the development of the child arbitration Scheme and involved in drafting the Children Rules.
