I have practised as a family law barrister for over 40 years. I am experienced in every type of case, including: international and domestic jurisdictional disputes; financial disputes with assets ranging from multi-millions to zero (or below); prenuptial and postnuptial agreements; civil partnerships; termination-of-life cases; gender reassignment; child sexual abuse and non-accidental injury; child abduction; child relocation; and Court of Protection issues.

My concerns about the increasing length and cost of litigation and the effective abolition of legal aid led me to train as a mediator and then as an arbitrator. I am also a reviewer for the Bar Pro Bono Unit, in which capacity I consider the legal and financial merits of applications to that charity for free legal representation.

I am a lecturer and writer, and am a contributor to the current (19th) edition of the leading textbook, Rayden & Jackson on Divorce and Family Matters.
