Robert trained in accountancy before practising as a barrister, which has added to his ability to understand and deal with complex financial cases, private and corporate businesses of all kinds, including farming cases.
He has sat on high value and high income cases that have involved multiple witnesses and more complex factual decisions whilst also dealing with more specific or discreet issues and modest cases. His experience enables him to fairly determine issues of non-disclosure, hidden assets and adverse inferences.
Robert qualified as an arbitrator in 2017 and has been determining cases since that time.
He lectures to the judiciary regularly at the Judicial College in understanding finances, expert evidence and how to approach and deal with corporate structures in financial remedy cases.
